Sales Manager (Remote-First Role)
Hourly Rate: $25-$30/hour CAD
Contract: 12 months, with a 15-day notice period for both parties. This role begins with a 60-day probationary period to ensure mutual fit and alignment. During this period, we’ll provide regular feedback and support to help you succeed. At the end of the probationary period, we’ll review performance, goals, and alignment to confirm continuation of the role. Includes a 6-month performance review and potential rate adjustment based on achievements.
Hours: Up to 25 hours per week, based on business needs.
The Opportunity
Angela Wallace Impact Agency (AWIA) is looking for a Sales Manager to join our mission-driven boutique brokerage. As Sales Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, building strong client relationships, and implementing scalable systems that align with our ethos of sustainability, diversity, and impact.
Reporting directly to our founder, Ange, you’ll be responsible for creating and executing sales strategies that help our clients thrive in competitive markets. This is a remote-first role with flexible hours and occasional in-person opportunities for collaboration and industry events.
In This Role, You Will:
1. Develop and Execute Sales Strategies
- Design tailored sales plans for diverse CPG brands, focusing on impactful growth in North American & Global markets.
- Build and maintain relationships with retailers, distributors, and key stakeholders.
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics to ensure client success.
2. Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their sales goals are met.
- Conduct bi-weekly sales meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Provide regular reporting and data-driven insights to clients.
3. Operational Excellence
- Set up and manage CRM systems (Hubspot) to streamline sales processes.
- Collaborate with founders to refine sales systems and operational workflows.
- Ensure all client deliverables are met with precision and timeliness.
4. Drive Market Expansion
- Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate them.
- Create playbooks for wholesale and go-to-market strategies, tailored to each client.
5. Uphold AWIA’s Values
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of your work.
- Align with AWIA’s mission to build sustainable, impactful brands.
6. Support administration and operations, including a variety of business needs as identified on an ongoing basis.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Thrives in a remote-first, flexible work environment.
- Has exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Is proactive, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple clients simultaneously.
- Communicates effectively, both in writing and verbally.
- Is open to constructive feedback and performance improvement plans, in writing.
- Has experience with CRM tools (Hubspot preferred) and project management systems (Asana).
- Brings 4+ years of experience in sales management, preferably in CPG brands, especially beauty and personal care, with active knowledge of North American retail and distribution landscapes.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience working with women-led and impact-driven brands.
- Familiarity with sustainability and certifications (e.g., B Corp, cruelty-free).
How You’ll Work
- Remote-First: Work from anywhere, with flex core operation hours (9-5 PM EST, M-F).
- Hours: Up to 25 hours per week, with potential for growth in future.
- In-Person Opportunities: Quarterly strategy days, bi-weekly meetings (optional), and occasional industry event.
